Advanced Voting Locations and Hours



Georgia is an open primary state, allowing voters to select either a Republican or Democratic ballot at the polls, regardless of their previous party affiliation.

If you cast a Republican vote in the March 12, 2024, Presidential Primary, you can switch to a Democratic ballot for Georgia’s May 21 General Primary, and vice versa.

Regardless of your party affiliation, residents of Newton County Districts 1, 2, 3, or 4 can only influence the leadership of their county by requesting a Democratic ballot on May 21, 2024. District 5 has Republican opposition.

will be decided in the May 21, 2024 Georgia State Primary, as there is no Republican opposition to carry them to November.
